Lenovo ThinkPad E15 GEN 3 AMD is a 15.6-inch business laptop. Part of ThinkPad's T15-L15-E15 lineup in 2021, the E15 targets consumers and small businesses who desire a customizable, no-nonsense laptop with solid build quality and good performance.
The E15 GEN 3 AMD is powered by Ryzen 5000-series APUs with integrated graphics. It is slightly more portable than the L15 GEN 2 but less so than the T15 GEN 2. Its access to high-powered processors is capped, though it gains a slightly larger battery option compared to the L15 GEN 2.
In terms of the display, the E15 GEN 3 is available with only a FHD IPS panel. It has no memory card reader or WWAN. Combined with a more consumer-oriented options list, the E15 GEN 3 is sufficiently different from the T and E series, and consumers / small businesses who know their needs can decide whether it suffices.
It is noteworthy that as the ThinkPad E-series was the first to adopt Lenovo's new naming scheme, it is nominally one generation ahead of other ThinkPad models.

Reviewer score 76%The new ThinkPad E15 G3 is still a very quiet laptop, and you can only hear a quiet murmur from the fan under load. The standard display is already brighter than 300 nits, which fixes on of the issues from the previous models. There is even a new option for a panel with full sRGB gamut if you want to edit pictures or videos, but the standard panel is completely sufficient for most office scenarios.
