Lenovo ThinkPad L15 GEN 2 AMD is a 15.6-inch laptop powered by Ryzen 5000-series APUs with integrated graphics. It is analogous to the Intel-powered L15 GEN 2 i, keeping the same classic ThinkPad design in an affordable package.
The L15 GEN 2 AMD uses the exact same chassis of its predecessor. As a result, it comes with the same set of features and compromises. On the plus side, one can find a solid build, good expandability (RAM and SSD are user-replaceable, though this is no longer the case with the battery), and modern I/O options.
With the introduction of the ThinkBook series as well as the general improvement in build quality in the industry, the L15 GEN 2 has many alternatives, though it is unique in offering the no-nonsense style that conveys professionalism and that many love.
As before, the other business laptop options in the 2021 ThinkPad lineup are the E15 GEN 3 and T15 GEN 2.
In contrast, comparable models from HP and Dell are notably more compact.

It achieves very good read and write rates in the storage benchmarks, and it's one of the fastest models in our test field. The AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 integrated graphics unit is suitable for applications with low graphics performance requirements. The included power adapter has a sufficiently high output capacity of 65 watts.
