Product Overview

Logitech MX Keys Mini is a premium compact wireless keyboard in Logitech's Master Series. It is the compact version of the MX Keys, which has been on the market for a couple of years.
Unlike most compact keyboards, the MX Keys Mini is neither a tenkeyless keyboard, nor a 75% keyboard, nor a 60% keyboard: It is akin to a 60% keyboard with an additional row of function keys on the top and arrow keys on the bottom.
Like the MX Keys, this premium wireless keyboard have a thin profile that emphasizes comfort. The keycaps are shaped for the fingertips, making keystrokes more comfortable over long typing sessions. The entire keyboard is held together by its single metal plate that improves stability during use.
The MX Keys Mini features not only ambient light sensors but also hand proximity sensors. This allows it not only to adjust the luminosity of the backlighting but also automatically turn the it on and off.
The MX Keys Mini is available in four colors for Windows and in Pale Gray for Mac.

External Reviews

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The MX Keys Mini comes with a single USB-C to USB-A cable for charging and connects to your PC or Mac using Bluetooth. Mac users who opt for this keyboard will have to sacrifice Touch ID support, a feature that is supported on some of Apple's newer external keyboards. Despite the added comfort of using a narrow keyboard, this keyboard isn't designed around ergonomics.
Pros
  • Excellent ergonomics
  • Long battery life
  • Built-in number pad
Cons
  • No Touch ID support
  • No dedicated number pad

laptopmag[2]

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The MX Keys Mini is a sleek keyboard that shaves width and mass off the original MX Keys. The switches are quiet and springy with a scissor style compression that gives each key a more tactile response. The battery life remains the same: 10 days with backlighting on or up to five months if you turn it off. The key choices are odd, the fixed angle is not going to be for everyone and the price is expensive.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Comfortable to type on
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Expensive for a full-size keyboard
  • No dedicated function keys

pcworld[3]

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcworld have found:
The MX Keys Mini is essentially identical to the original MX Keys, with the 10-key and control cluster chopped off. The scissor switches have a pleasant, if not particularly long, feel that won’t bother anyone in the next cubicle. The keyboard recharges via USB-C, but there’s no wired connection.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Easy to use
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Only one function row
  • No wired connection

rtings[4]

Reviewer score 54% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Logitech MX Keys Mini is good for office use. Its scissor switches feel light and responsive overall. The board is quiet to type on, and while it doesn't come with a wrist rest, it's very low profile and doesn't need one. You can use it wirelessly via Bluetooth and pair it with up to three devices.
Pros
  • Feels well-built
  • Works with most common operating systems
  • Very low profile and doesn't need a wrist rest
  • Doesn't come with a built-in trackpad
  • Comfortable to type on
  • Low profile and isn't needed for typing
Cons
  • Some keys don't work on certain devices
  • Can't remap some keys
  • No volume control wheel

techradar[5]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The MX Keys Mini comes in Graphite, Rose Pink and Pale Gray. The US gets a fourth shade, a solid black model that removed the gray accents from the Graphite model, but this doesn't appear to be available in any other region. The typing experience is pleasant, with the keys ergonomically designed to better fit your fingertips. The build quality is also especially solid despite being lightweight.
Pros
  • Easy to use
  • Solid build quality
  • Easy to switch between devices
Cons
  • No RGB lighting
  • No adjustable stand
