Product Overview

Mission LX CONNECT is a wireless speaker system that pairs two bookshelf speakers with a wireless hub similar to DALI's numerous wireless loudspeaker systems. In particular, the bookshelf speakers in the LX CONNECT have specifications similar to the LX-2 MKII unveiled last year, though they are now enhanced with wireless connectivity and a built-in power amplifier.
The LX CONNECT uses 5.8GHz wireless connection between the Hub and the two speakers. The signal is uncompressed, allowing for simpler circuitry in the speakers. The small Hub comes with a broad range of digital inputs as well as a single set of RCA input. Additionally, the LX CONNECT also supports Bluetooth. Coupled with the digital inputs is an ESS Sabre 9018 DAC.
While Mission tries to market the LX CONNECT as a "true wireless" speaker system, it must be noted that each channel is an active speaker that requires a power cord. As such, one could argue that the total number of wired connections is not really reduced with this type of systems. Still, for places where hiding wires from the speakers to the amplifier is a bigger challenge than hiding the power cords, the LX CONNECT may be a solution.
