Product Overview

HP Victus 16z-e000 is the AMD-powered version of HP's new Victus line of affordable gaming laptops. With a 16.1-inch 16:9 FHD IPS display, it is a more affordable variation of the OMEN 16z-c000.
At first glance, the Victus 16z-e000 is hardly distinguishable from the OMEN. However, the Victus, being a new line slotted below the OMEN sub-brand, is encased in plastic only. This leaves the Victus 16z-e000 to be marginally thicker than its more premium sister model. HP has also capped the laptop in terms of GPUs that it can be configured with and given it a smaller battery.
For those who have no plan to choose the more powerful (and expensive) GPU options, the Victus 16z-e000 seems to be a small compromise. On the other hand, even though it is supposed to be a more "basic" model, HP is not really selling it for appreciably cheaper. Depending on the spot price (which after discounts can vary from week to week), the OMEN may be decidedly the better choice.
Naturally, the Victus 16 also comes in Intel-powered guise.

, particularly in the AS SSD benchmark. It is also very useful that those who want to expand the storage will find an empty M.2 slot under the hood. With the exception of "Crysis Remastered," all the tested games were run at more than 60 fps even in maximum detail settings. At 70 Wh, HP has equipped the Victus 16 with a battery capacity that is neither large nor particularly small.
