HP OMEN 16z-c000 is an AMD-powered 16.1-inch gaming laptop. It is the sister model of of the OMEN 16t powered by Intel; as such, the OMEN 16z features a similarly-designed, sleek aluminum chassis that gives the machine a more premium look and feel than its price would have you otherwise expect.
In this case, HP has endowed the OMEN 16z with AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series APUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000-series discrete graphics. All popular I/O options are available, with WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and full-size HDMI 2.1 as well as RJ45 being icing on the cake. The USB ports, however, are not the fastest on the market today, and there is only one USB-C port.
A somewhat peculiar decision by HP is to use a 16:9 aspect ratio with this new chassis (shared with the OMEN 16t), while competitors are moving to the more usable 16:10 in droves.
Also interesting is the fact that HP is selling OMEN 15 and OMEN 17 that are very similar for about the same. It maybe PC-maker's "same sausage, different lengths".
