Dell G15 5515 Ryzen Edition 15.6"
Gaming LaptopProduct Gallery
Product Overview
Dell G15 5515 Ryzen Edition is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series Cezanne APUs paired with NVIDIA RTX 3000-series discrete graphics. Besides the CPU difference, it is virtually indistinguishable from the Intel-powered G15 5511.
Still, the G15 5515 Ryzen Edition is perhaps an attractive machine, adopting the new chassis that the G15-series has recently adopted. It uses a 120Hz FHD display and comes with most common I/O options, even if some do not support the latest versions of their respective protocols.
For those who wish to get a little more, the G15 5515 can be configured with an RTX 3060 GPU and a display that refreshes at 165Hz.
While these details do not make the G15 5515 Ryzen Edition the most powerful AMD gaming laptop on the market today, as an early effort (seeing that Dell is the brand that stuck with Intel the longest) this model is nonetheless a good try.

notebookcheck[1]
Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)The laptop brings all the current games to the screen smoothly. In everyday operation, the device runs quietly or even silently. While the laptop warms up noticeably under load, this is not excessive. An alternative to the G15 could be the Lenovo Legion 5ACH, which has a more powerful graphics core and an overall better display.
Pros
- Matte IPS display
- NVMe SSD
- Good battery life
Cons
- Display could be brighter
- Only 512 GB of storage
trustedreviews[2]
Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)You can play mainstream games on this panel without issue, and neither rival is better. Ultimately, you’ll have to spend more to get a big improvement in quality. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor is no slouch, either: it’s got the brilliant Zen 3 architecture, eight cores, and theoretical speeds of 3.2GHz and 4.4GHz.
Pros
- Superb gaming performance
- Comfortable keyboard
- Good battery life
Cons
- Not the best for gaming
- No Thunderbolt 3
