Product Overview

Viltrox 33mm F1.4 is a compact and affordable APS-C prime lens for X-mount, E-mount, and EF-M-mount systems. With a 50mm full-frame-equivalent focal length, this lens is suitable for general photography and makes for a versatile option for APS-C shooters.
Despite the low price point at which this 33mm F1.4 lens is available, it features autofocus powered by an STM screw-type motor. Moreover, this Viltrox lens even comes with an aperture ring: the photographer can adjust the aperture manually at any time, or s/he can leave it in "A" so that the camera does the job.
Another notable feature is the built-in Micro-USB port that allows the owner to update its firmware directly.
Several other Viltrox APS-C lenses that share the same design and feature set include the 23mm F1.4 and the 56mm F1.4.
This lens is suspiciously similar in specs to Tokina's atx-m 33mm F1.4, though it has a different optical design.

Reviewers from sonyalpha have found:
The Viltrox 33mm F1.4 STM (274 euros) is a very good prime lens for A6xxx. It delivery good to excellent sharpness across the whole frame, very soft background blur, good bokeh balls, very good color rendition, pleasant skin tones. It's AF is good and efficient most of the time. If you do a lot of video its clickless aperture ring is a pleasure to use, if not in A position on the ring, it will behave like a standard lens with aperture control via the body.
