Lenovo Smart Clock 2 w/ Wireless Charging Dock
Smart HomeProduct Gallery
Product Overview
Lenovo Smart Clock 2 is an upgrade over the Smart Clock Essential from 2020. It has the same display diagonal but now supports a color touch interface with a much wider range of clock faces: it is also able to display photos at idle.
A key addition is the wireless charging dock that accompanies the Smart Clock 2. With it, the user can charge their smart devices such as smartphones on their bedside.
Like the Smart Clock Essential, the Smart Clock 2 has an integrated 31lu night light, while its front-facing speaker together with the far-field microphones afford the user the choice to interact with Google Assistant. Tasks such as checking the time &
weather, setting timers for cooking, adding items
to your shopping list or making hands-free calls are all made easy.
Last but not least, it is possible to use its internal speaker to listen to the music, radio, or podcasts.

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)W speakers power the alarm clock and the music you play through it. Once you get used to it, it works pretty well, but the bulk of my interactions with the clock came from Google Assistant. While touch is a great way to manipulate settings, reaching over and touching the clock is not a great experience. You get a lot of utility and functionality for $70.
Pros
- Good value for money
- Good battery life
- Built-in charging plate
Cons
- Doesn’t support video streaming
- No wireless charging

Reviewer score 48% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 has a four-inch, 800-by-480-pixel screen and a 3-watt front-firing speaker driver. The clock slots into a recess on the left slide of the base, which is bordered by a white night-light. Lenovo moved the USB port for wired charging to an optional base that costs an extra $20. If you're not committed to Google's ecosystem, the Nest Hub is a better alternative.
Pros
- Bright, colorful display
- Supports Google Assistant and Google Duo
- Built-in night-light
Cons
- Doesn’t support video calls
- No built-in wireless charging
