Product Overview

Samsung Odyssey G3 G27AG30 is a flat 27-inch FHD VA gaming monitor in Samsung's Odyssey series of gaming monitors. Unlike higher-end models in the G5 through G9 series that Samsung launched in 2020, the new G3 series comprises of only flat monitors.
Compared to the 28" G7 and 27" G5 flat monitors unveiled at the same time in 2021, the G3 G27AG30 is more rudimentary. It has an 8-bit VA panel with a narrower color gamut and, obviously, lower resolution. Its brightness is lower and support for HDR is gone. Still, being VA, this panel has a higher level of contrast than the IPS ones found in those higher-end models.
Other compromises include the absence of an integrated USB hub and the loss of G-SYNC support. The only variable framerate technology that the monitor is compatible with is AMD FreeSync Premium. Nevertheless, it comes with Eye Saver Mode and is flicker-free.
The G27AG30 has a 24-inch sister model that is just a smaller version of what it is.
Curiously, Samsung renamed this monitor to S27AG30 months after its initial release. To consumers, however, it has always been marketed as 27-inch Odyssey G3 monitor.

They're very similar in performance; they have native FreeSync support, G-SYNC compatibility, and low input lag. However, the G5 has a much quicker response time that results in smoother motion.
