Product Overview

The JX800 is an entry-level option in Panasonic's 2021 4K TV lineup. Powered by an HCX processor, the JX800 loses some of the video processing features and most of the audio processing protocols.
Nevertheless, the JX800 supports a relatively rich set of HDR formats, including HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG, and Dolby Vision.
Physically, the JX800 uses the same simple stereo setup as the JX850. It also has the same I/O options, including WiFi and Bluetooth support. Just like the JX850, however, there is no variable framerate support.
Lastly, while the JX800 supports local dimming, its edge-lit backlighting is not the most conducive for high dynamic range, high contrast HDR picture reproduction.
