Product Overview

The JX940 is a midrange 4K LCD smart TV in Panasonic's 2021 lineup. It shares much of the same features with the JZ980, which is Panasonic's most affordable OLED TV this year, but for its IPS panel.
Like the JZ980, the JX940 is powered by Panasonic's latest HCX Pro AI processor, with support for a large set of video and audio processing protocols. It supports most common HDR formats, including HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG, and Dolby Visoin IQ.
As is the case with other leading TV manufacturers, Panasonic is pushing the JX940 for gaming use. This is evident in support for AMD FreeSync Premium.
Alongside the JX940, Panasonic also introduced the more affordable JX850 and JX800 with minimal differences at CES 2021.
