Product Overview

Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed is the most compact variant of the BlackWidow V3 series of premium mechanical gaming keyboards. It supports Razer's proprietary 2.4GHz HyperSpeed wireless protocol as well as Bluetooth and USB-C.
Like other BlackWidow V3 models, the Mini HyperSpeed features the latest Razer Mechanical Switches: Razer Green switches offer a precise, audible, and clicky actuation, while the Yellow switch is smooth, silent, and linear. The latter has been endowed with silicone sound dampeners for an even quieter experience. With extra sidewalls for better switch stability, the Razer Mechanical Switches are extremely durable and reliable for up to 80 million keystrokes.
Unsurprisingly for this segment, the BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed comes with N-key roll-over and 1000Hz polling rating. Its compact 65% form factor makes it a great option for pro gamers who need to carry their kit on tournaments as well as general computer users who appreciate an uncluttered desktop.
As usual, the Mini HyperSpeed comes with a strong set of RGB lighting options for those who wish to be fancy.

gizmodo[1]

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from gizmodo have found:
The BlackWidow V3 Mini promises up to 200 hours of use with each full charge. The key to battery longevity is to do away with the backlighting entirely. The Synapse app is still a bit heavy, but competent when it comes to recording Macros and customizing keyboard shortcuts.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Backlighting can be a bit bloated
  • Backlighting could be better

pcmag[2]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Razer Blackwidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed is a fine keyboard, and more approachable than the Huntsman Mini. It's one of only a handful of wireless mechanical keyboards, and unusual within that category for its compact design. The keyboard should last up to 200 hours on a single charge with its RGBs turned off.
Pros
  • Sleek, compact design
  • Attractive RGB lighting
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • No sidecapped function keys
  • Limited customization options

rtings[3]

Reviewer score 46% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini is very good for programming. It has customizable RGB backlighting and all the keys are macro-programmable. It's compatible with many operating systems and can pair with up to three devices at once via Bluetooth. The board has a high profile but doesn't come with a wrist rest, so you might feel fatigue in your wrists while typing.
Pros
  • Very low latency over both wired connection and its USB receiver
  • Can pair with up to three devices at once via Bluetooth
  • High profile and doesn't come with a wrist rest
Cons
  • No built-in trackpad
  • Poor typing experience

t3[4]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
The Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed is a premium 65% form factor gaming keyboard. It comes with yellow Razer-brand mechanical switches, which are designed to have silent activation. If you want the full clack then you can bag they keyboard with green switches instead. The keys are rated by Razer to have an 80 million keystroke lifespan - so, yeah, you'll not have to worry about that.
Pros
  • Excellent build quality
  • Excellent mechanical switches
  • Comfortable to type on
Cons
  • Not a full-size keyboard
  • Not for everyone

tomsguide[5]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed is a niche product, but it's one of the best we've reviewed. It comes equipped with either Razer Green or Yellow key switches, both of which work well. On the bottom of the keyboard, there's a small slot for the dongle, which makes it harder to lose.
Pros
  • Sleek, minimalist design
  • Comfortable and responsive keys
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No macro buttons
  • No RGB lighting

tomshardware[6]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed is Razer's first 65% keyboard. It adopts the brand's tradition of high-priced, high-functionality peripherals gamers would be proud to carry. If you plan on using dedicated macros often, a full-size keyboard may be a better fit.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • High-quality build quality
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • No side-printing on the C key
  • Limited customization options
