Product Overview

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 are premium wireless over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation. They are powered by B&W's 43.6mm dynamic drivers and boast a 30-hour battery life with support for fast charging.
The PX7's dynamic drivers are the largest in B&W's lineup and are designed by the same engineers behind the company's flagship 800 Diamond series loudspeakers. They offer a balance between bass extension, high-frequency control, and musicality.
With four microphones, the PX7 provide strong active noise cancellation. For convenience, the headphones can also be used wired via 3.5mm headphone jack or USB-C audio. Five hours of battery life can be added with just 15 minutes of quick charging.
Bowers & Wilkins also markets an on-ear model, the B&W PX5, that shares many similarities with the PX7.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The Bowers & Wilkins PX7s are wireless and use the aptX HD audio codec with Android devices. They have a much more natural sound than the Sony XM4s. Call quality is OK, so I wouldn't recommend them as the best choice for any of those upcoming Zoom calls.
Pros
  • Great sound quality
  • Comfortable fit
  • Great call quality
Cons
  • No EQ
  • Noisy treble

laptopmag[2]

Reviewer score 88% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition headphones are equipped with 43.6mm custom drivers. The result is rich, balanced audio across the highs, mids and lows. The headphones have a 30-hour battery life with the ANC enabled and 33 hours when disabled.
Pros
  • Powerful, balanced audio
  • Comfortable fit
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Not as powerful as the Bose 700

parttimeaudiophile[3]

Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from parttimeaudiophile have found:
The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition feature wear sensor, that senses when the wearer removes one or two of the ear-cups, thus automatically pauses the music. The headphones employ a slight dip in the low-mid frequency curve that presents itself as smooth and laid back. The end result is full, lush, and plush sound without feeling boxed in.
Pros
  • Class-leading noise cancellation
  • Sleek, comfortable design
  • Impressive battery life
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Noise cancellation could be better

pcmag[4]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
There are various ANC modes including high, low, auto, and off. The ANC has little or no effect on the audio performance. For $400, however, it's a bummer the app doesn't allow you to tweak the sound signature. The mic offers average intelligibility.
Pros
  • Strong audio performance
  • Excellent noise cancellation
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No EQ
  • Mediocre mic

t3[5]

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
Bowers & Wilkins PX7 have 46.3mm full-range drivers, one behind the fabric inside each earcup. These are the largest drivers fitted to any of the company's headphones. Even when listening to a bog-standard stream from the free tier of Spotify, there's genuine weight and substance to the bass frequencies.
Pros
  • Gorgeous, detailed sound
  • Impressive noise-cancelling
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • No EQ
  • No adjustable EQ

techhive[6]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techhive have found:
The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition are a much more accurate headphone than the Sony WH-1000XM4. Classic recordings from jazz legends come through crisp and clear with minimal noise. At higher volumes, there's loads of bass to push low-end-heavy genres like rap. The high frequencies can turn shrill if pushed too hard.
Pros
  • Sleek, minimalist design
  • Excellent noise cancellation
  • Easy to use app
Cons
  • Lacks user-adjustable EQ settings

techradar[7]

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
Bowers & Wilkins PX7s are among the first headphones to adopt Qualcomm's aptX HD Bluetooth technology. They have three modes – low, medium, and high – that you can cycle through by pressing the dedicated button on the left earcup. A fourth, activated by holding down that button, lets the outside world in for a moment so you can hear a train platform announcement.
Pros
  • Class-leading sound
  • Effective noise cancelation
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • No physical button

tomsguide[8]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
B&W's PX7 Carbon Edition is a decent calling headset that works best indoors. Soundscapes is one of the app's standout features and has several sound profiles to mask the noise around you with sounds of nature. Fast charging is available to speed up the charging process: 15 minutes equals 5 hours of use.
Pros
  • Excellent noise-cancelling performance
  • Multi-level listening modes
  • Easy to use app
Cons
  • No Bluetooth 5.0 support
  • No wireless charging

trustedreviews[9]

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
B&W PX7 are the finest-sounding pair of wireless noise-cancellers at the £350 mark. Bass is malleable and provides a song such as The Pharcyde’s Runnin’ (TIDAL) a firm foundation to work with. Bluetooth 5.0 allows for connection to two devices simultaneously, which led to notifications of reconnecting and disconnecting whenever I walked in and out of range.
Pros
  • Impressive sound quality
  • Impressive battery life
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Noise cancelling isn’t as effective as the WH-1000XM3

whathifi[10]

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
The PX7s are clear evolutions of their predecessors, with a branded badge and fabric finish on the elliptical earcups. The arms are now made from a custom carbon fibre composite that is lighter than the metal used in the PXs' design. A 15-minute charge via the USB-C port provides five hours of audio playback. The headband is well padded, while earpads clamp with a calculated pressure and provide a good seal.
Pros
  • Excellent noise-cancelling
  • Impressive battery life
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Noise cancelling could be better

wired[11]

Reviewer score 92% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from wired have found:
The PX7 are Bowers & Wilkins' latest flagship noise-canceling headphones. They're light, comfortable, and sound fantastic, and they ooze the same class that the original P5 model did. Like with the AirPods Max, there's a more open soundstage than you get with Sony and Bose models.
Pros
  • Lightweight, comfortable design
  • Excellent noise-canceling
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No wireless charging
