Bowers & Wilkins 607 S2 Anniversary Edition

Product Overview
Bowers & Wilkins 607 S2 Anniversary Edition is the smaller of two bookshelf loudspeakers in the 7th iteration of B&W's 600-series loudspeakers. Unsurprisingly, it uses a 2-way, bass-reflex construction with B&W's signature Flowport design.
Like other loudspeakers in this generation, the 607 S2 uses a decoupled 1" aluminum dome tweeter found in all non-diamond Bowers & Wilkins speakers as well as Continuum midrange driver. Continuum was first introduced in B&W's 800 Diamond series: It is a refinement over the yellow Kevlar cone.
Compared to the 606 S2 Anniversary Edition, the 607 S2 is 1" narrower and almost 4" shallower. This, together with a smaller, 5" mid-woofer cone, compromises its low-frequency performance. Still the 607 S2 makes for a good component in a home entertainment system.
This generation of B&W's 600-series loudspeakers also include a larger bookshelf speaker (606 S2), a floorstander (603 S2), a center channel (HTM6 S2), and matching subwoofers.
The matching speaker stand, STAV24 S2, is available for the 607 S2 separately for $200 per pair.

Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)B&W 607 S2 Anniversary Edition are a huge step forward. They are the best bookshelf speakers we've heard at this price. There is a more live quality to the way the new 607 place emphasis on leading notes and pick rhythms from any percussion. Bass response is one area in which we hear a significant improvement.
