Product Overview
Dyson V15 Detect is a premium cordless, bagless stick vacuum cleaner introduced by Dyson in 2021. Its calling card is laser dust illumination offered by the new Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head: it helps the user detect particles that they usually cannot see.
Another advanced feature is the new piezo sensor that counts and measures particles through the inlet. It helps the V15 intelligently adjust its power to the type of dust particles; via the rear LCD display, the vacuum cleaner also communicates with the user about the progress.
Like before, the V15 Detect uses Dyson's Hyperdymium motor with a multi-cyclone system. It offers up to 60 minutes of run time on a single battery. Its filtration system traps 99.99% of fine dust particles and ensures clean exhaust air. The easy-to-empty dust bin helps users avoid re-contamination.
At launch, the V15 is available in two flavors, Standard, and Outsize Absolute+. The Outsize Absolute+ model features a larger half-gallon dust bin with more concentric cyclones. It also comes with an additional charger and battery.

It integrates an anti-tangle technology and can automatically adapt suction and power. The hair screw tool is a brand new tool, designed to replace the mini-motorized tool.

Its bagless design and washable allergen-trapping HEPA filter result in a near-total absence of recurring costs. While its primarily plastic construction makes the vacuum lightweight and easy to maneuver, it doesn't feel especially sturdy. There are also quite a few parts that require regular maintenance.

A laser light mounted to the front of the motorized bare-floor Slim Fluffy brush head illuminates otherwise invisible dust. Dyson says a piezo sensor counts the number of dust particles the vacuum is pulling up.

As you clean, the graphical representation change and, when it finally becomes static, you'll know there's nothing more for the vacuum to suck up. There are three different power modes to choose from – Eco, Medium and Boost – we found that the Eco mode was more than enough for the V15 Detect. And it also offers the best battery life.
