External Reviews
androidauthority[1]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Lenovo Legion Duel 2 sits at the higher end when it comes to gaming devices. Priced at €799 for the 12GB/256GB base model, the Duel 2 costs exactly the same as the base ROG Phone 5. However, if the unusual and arguably over-the-top gaming aesthetic and slightly unwieldy design isn't your cup of tea, then the ROG phone 5 might be the better buy.
Pros
- Top-tier gaming performance
- Unique design
- 90W fast charging
- Great audio
Cons
- Over-the-top camera performance
- Unreliable fingerprint sensor
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)Lenovo's Legion Phone Duel 2 is a well priced, comprehensively equipped gaming smartphone. The main camera can now record 8K videos due to the new SoC. The AMOLED screen is too dark for a smartphone in this price range, but it is usable for everyday use as long as you do not spend too much time outdoors.
Pros
- High-quality case
- Good performance
- Good battery runtimes
Cons
- No DC dimming
- High temperatures under load
techradar[3]
Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Lenovo Legion Phone 2 is built for gamers, and that likely means it won't be for you unless you plan to use your handset in landscape orientation. This is a thick design with the thinnest points measuring 9.9mm and the thickest part measuring 12.56mm. There is a 64MP main camera and a 16MP ultra-wide, while the phone's front-facing selfie camera is a 44MP camera. In the UK, the handset is set to start at £699 (about $950 / AU$1,250) for a model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Pros
- Gorgeous display
- Good battery life
Cons
- Camera isn’t great for gaming
- No wireless charging
trustedreviews[4]
Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)Lenovo has equipped the Legion phone, suitably, with the best. It features a Snapdragon 888, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of fast UFS3.1 storage. The front-firing speakers are a pleasant surprise. They are loud, bright, offer some semblance of stereo separation and even some decent bass. The selfie camera is especially disappointing, considering it makes such an entertaining entrance.
Pros
- Powerful processor
- Good battery life
- Good cameras
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No selfie camera
