Product Overview

Xiaomi Mi 11i is a more affordable derivative of the base Mi 11 in Xiaomi's 2021 lineup; it sits above the Mi 11 Lite. Compared to the Mi 11, the Mi 11i keeps the dual 5G network support as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It also retains a three-camera setup with a 108MP main unit, though exact setup is slightly different.
In terms of compromises, the Mi 11i uses a slightly lesser OLED display that nevertheless offers 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The fast charging capability is also lowered to 33W from the astounding number from the base model, joining the reduction of battery capacity.
Feature-wise, the Mi 11i trades the in-display fingerprint sensor for a side-mounted unit.
Overall, the Mi 11i offers perhaps 95+% of what the base Mi 11 does at a non-negligible discount. It can make for a compelling option if you do not demand the best in everything.

Reviewers from gsmarena have found:
Xiaomi Mi 11i is facing some serious competition in Europe. Its €650 put it up against rivals within the Mi lineup, a few Galaxies, maybe a OnePlus too. The Mi 11X Pro alter ego is placed in a different context in India, where the INR40K price tag can get you a different OnePlus.
Pros
  • Premium aluminum frame
  • IP68 rating
  • Fingerprint reader
  • Fast charging
Cons
  • No NFC
  • No microSD slot

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Mi 11i doesn't have an audio jack, but external speakers can be plugged into the smartphone's USB-C port using the included 3.5 mm adapter. Wirelessly, connections are possible via Bluetooth 5.2. At 6.67 inches, it's more compact than its 6.81-inch counterpart, and it has a lower resolution of 2400x1080 pixels (compared with 3200x1440 pixels) However, the AMOLED panels are once again on par when it comes to the brightness and refresh rate.
Pros
  • High-quality AMOLED display
  • High-end SoC
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Low-resolution display
  • No wireless charging
