Product Overview

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is the company 2021 flagship smartphone with dual-5G standby powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 chipset. It features a strong three-camera setup with each at the level of a conventional "main" camera.
Measuring roughly the same as the Mi 11 released earlier, the Mi 11 Ultra boasts the same 6.81-inch AMOLED (OLED) quad-curved display with 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate, though Xiaomi boosts its maximum brightness further to 1700nits.
Unlike the base model, the Mi 11 Ultra features a secondary OLED display next to the camera units. It supports always-on-display functionality and can be used for time and notifications without activating the main display.
Another advanced feature is the 67W wired and wireless turbo charging that replenishes the battery to 100% in just 36 minutes.
The Mi 11 Ultra is crafted with a premium ceramic back. I also is IP68 dust and water resistant.

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The Mi 11 Ultra is a top-spec, extremely powerful smartphone. Battery life from the 5,000mAh cell is much better than om the Mi 11. The 50MP main camera takes excellent photos, and I really like the video performance. The screen looks amazing, but there are still touch-sensitivity issues.
Pros
  • Top-notch camera performance
  • Excellent battery life
  • Very fast charging
Cons
  • No IP68 rating
  • No wireless charging

Reviewers from gsmarena have found:
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra takes better pictures and video than the Galaxy in virtually all scenarios. Galaxy has the better selfie camera, but the Mi's rear display renders that a moot point. OnePlus 9 Pro is evenly matched - INR70K for 12GB/256GB. Oppo Find X3 Pro maxes out at 2x optical zoom, but has a microscope camera.
Pros
  • Fantastic build quality
  • Good battery life
  • Good cameras
Cons
  • No IP rating
  • No stereo speakers or IP rating

ndtv[4]

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from ndtv have found:
In low light, the large primary sensor in the Mi 11 Ultra does a good job with details and colours. 120X zoom is great for bragging rights, but just like the Galaxy S21 Ultra's 100X, it's not particularly useful in most cases. The camera app does tend to artificially brighten images at times, which doesn't always look true to the scene, but noise is kept at bay in darker regions.
Pros
  • High-refresh-rate display
  • Excellent build quality
  • Good battery life
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No 5G support
  • No microSD card slot
  • No headphone jack

Reviewers from nextpit have found:
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is one of the top 5 camera smartphones in the market for 2021. I loved the telephoto lens and overall the level of detail displayed by each of the camera module's sensors. My only disappointments were the night mode and digital smoothing that kicks in too often in low light conditions.
Pros
  • Excellent camera module
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • Good battery life
  • Fast charging
Cons
  • No wireless fast charging
  • No IP rating

Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is a flagship smartphone that can go toe to toe with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Oppo Find X3 Pro. The Xiaomi smartphone features very fast UFS 3.1 memory, but the internal memory could have been faster. The stereo speakers, which were tuned by Harman Kardon, sound very good for a smartphone.
Pros
  • Bright 120-Hz display
  • Fast UFS 3.1 memory
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre camera

t3[7]

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has a large 5,000mAh battery which is certainly promising. Running MIUI 12 OS, it's based on Android 11 so feels familiar and intuitive. Built-in dual speakers are tuned by Harmon and Kardon and make for a loud warm sound. There's no point in having a fast phone if its battery isn't up to scratch.
Pros
  • Incredible performance
  • Bright, vivid display
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Second display isn’t as responsive as the first
  • Camera module is a little bulky

techradar[8]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has three cameras: a 50MP main, 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP telephoto snapper. On the front there's a 20MP camera for selfies. Photos are bright and bold, with plenty of detail. Ultra-wide pictures look good, with relatively little distortion, and 120x digital zoom is just as fun to mess around with as you'd expect it to be.
Pros
  • Top-spec, high-res cameras
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No IP68 water resistance
  • No 120Hz display

tomsguide[9]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is a powerful phone that's either going to be the smartphone bargain of the year or repakcage what the Xiaomi Mi 11 already offers. Xiaomi has successfully balanced the straightforward stock Android experience with its own exclusive features, such as floating windows, always-on displays, and an attractive look. The only new feature worth mentioning is the options menu for the rear display, found within the special features section.
Pros
  • Top-notch cameras
  • Excellent battery life
  • Fast charging
Cons
  • No wireless charging
  • No IP rating
