Product Overview
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3i is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop powered by 10th-gen Intel Core Comet Lake H-series CPUs paired with entry-level NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics.
Equipped with Intelligent Cooling via Lenovo Q-Control 3.0 for performance mode switching and up to 7 hours of battery life with Rapid Charge, the stylish IdeaPad Gaming 3i features a blue backlit gaming keyboard with 1.5mm key travel and is available in two eye-catching colors, iridescent Chameleon Blue or reflective Onyx Black.
By not prioritizing portability, the IdeaPad Gaming 3i also comes with a 2.5" HDD drive bay, making it possible to have large storage space at low cost.
Alongside the Intel-powered model, Lenovo also introduced an AMD-powered variant of the IdeaPad Gaming 3. Compared to the latter, the Intel-powered unit loses the 120Hz display option but gains WiFi 6 connectivity.

laptopmag[1]
Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)The IdeaPad Gaming 3i has a new Intel Core i7-10750H processor packed with 8GB of RAM. On the Geekbench 4.3 overall performance test, the machine scored 20,911, flying over the 16,756 budget gaming laptop average. It transcoded a 4K video to 1080p on the HandBrake benchmark in just 10 minutes and 41 seconds.
Pros
- Solid performance
- Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
- Solid battery life
Cons
- Dull display
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 49% (normalized by Neofiliac)Built-in Core i5 processor offers enough computing power for all common applications. The dedicated graphics core enables playing computer games. The system drive is an NVMe SSD (M.2 2242) from SK Hynix, which provides 512 GB of storage space. The laptop still has room for a 2.5-inch storage device and a second NVMe drive.
Pros
- Matte IPS display
- Full HD resolution
- NVMe SSD
- Good battery life
Cons
- No SD card reader
- No Thunderbolt 3
pcmag[3]
Reviewer score 49% (normalized by Neofiliac)The IdeaPad Gaming 3i starts strong with a sturdy and restrained build. The GTX 1650 is a fine entry-level GPU for cheaper machines, but at around $1,000, it begins to look less impressive. It's hard to recommend the 3i if you're primarily concerned with in-game frame rates.
Pros
- Strong graphics performance
- Strong battery life
- Comfortable keyboard
Cons
- No Thunderbolt 3 port
techadvisor[4]
Reviewer score 49% (normalized by Neofiliac)IdeaPad Gaming 3i has a modest 4GB of memory, 896 stream processors and no Ray-Tracing. Intel Core i5-10300H is a mid-range CPU with four multi-threaded cores and a Turbo peak of 4.5GHz. 256GB Toshiba BG4 SSD keeps the laptop responsive, but the drive isn't capacious and there's no secondary hard disk. There's 8GB of DDR4 memory, which is the bare minimum for a consumer laptop – so performance will be hindered.
Pros
- Decent gaming performance
- Comfortable keyboard
- Good battery life
Cons
- Underwhelming single-channel performance
- No Ray-Tracing
