Product Overview

Lenovo Yoga C940-14IIL is a high-end 14-inch 2-in-1 convertible laptop. Powered by 10th-gen Intel Core processors, the C940-14IIL offers an abundance of power in an ultra-thin CNC aluminum chassis barely over half an inch thin.
A unique feature of the C940 is the rotating sound bar with Dolby Atmos that maintains front-facing projection whichever position the user leaves the device with its 360-degree hinge.
Despite its thinness as well as its narrow bezels that measure less than 4mm, the C940-14IIL offers a suite of I/O options, including two Thunderbolt 3 ports and WiFi 6.
Alongside the 14-inch model, Lenovo also introduced a 15.6-inch C940 that shares much of the same features.

Reviewers from cnet have found:
Lenovo's Yoga C940 is an Intel Project Athena device co-engineered with Intel to perform more like your phone. Lift the lid and it instantly wakes from sleep. The C940's 1080p display is better for battery life and fine for productivity. It's all-around faster than the last model, too, in processing and overall usability.
Pros
  • Excellent performance
  • Long battery life
  • Fast Wi-Fi
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3

Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Yoga C940's 4.1 x 2.6-inch touchpad gets the job done. It's not the largest touchpad we've used, but the surface is responsive. Lenovo's stylus slots into the rear of the laptop when not in use. The C940 continues the Yoga tradition of having long battery life.
Pros
  • Gorgeous 4K display
  • Sleek design
  • Long battery life
  • Long-lasting stylus
Cons
  • Nothing in particular

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Despite the glossy surface, the Yoga C940 can be used outdoors, since the LCD is bright enough. Using it outside however means having to live with annoying reflections and the sun should be avoided completely. The viewing-angle stability is – typical for an IPS panel – very good. The Intel Iris Plus Graphics G7 is the fastest integrated GPU available in the recent Intel Ice Lake processors.
Pros
  • Matte IPS panel
  • High-quality case
  • Very good speakers
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Slow CPU performance under continuous load
  • No dedicated memory

pcmag[4]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Yoga C940 shares the same Core i7-1065G7 processor as the versions of the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 and HP Spectre x360 13. The quad-core CPU features a base clock speed of 1.3GHz and top turbo speed of 3.9GHz. Lenovo also offers a 15.6-inch version of the C940, new this year.
Pros
  • Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
  • Sleek design
  • Solid performance
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

pcworld[5]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcworld have found:
The Lenovo Yoga C940 14 is one of the first laptops using Intel's 10th-generation Ice Lake processors. It's slightly behind some of its convertible competitors in raw performance, but it's a clear cut above last year's 2-in-1 laptops. With a bright 14-inch display, strong battery life and a great keyboard, it's solid in all the ways you'd want a premium laptop to be.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Excellent battery life
  • Solid audio performance
Cons
  • Mediocre trackpad
  • No dedicated speakers

tomshardware[6]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The Lenovo Yoga C940 runs Windows 10 Home and, as a result, includes bloatware like Netflix and Candy Crush. The laptop comes with a one-year limited warranty, though it can be extended for an additional cost. The Dolby Atmos-powered sound system did not disappoint this YouTube addict.
Pros
  • Gorgeous 1080p display
  • Dolby Atmos sound system
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Nothing in particular
