Product Overview
Sony ILME-FX3 is a full-frame Cinema Line camera that shares much of the same designs and features with the latest Alpha-series mirrorless cameras such as the A7S III.
Compared to the the FX6 camcorder released last year, the FX3 is significantly more compact. It features the same full-frame sensor and the same BIONZ XR image processor found in the FX6, though it loses the built-in ND filter as well as the XLR and SDI interfaces.
Compared to the A7S III, which has been popular with content creators and highly praised by reviewers, the FX3 drops the EVF but gains the ability to record 4K video up to 600Mbps. It can similarly output 16bit RAW via HDMI.
