Product Overview

Chevrolet redesigned its popular entry-level subcompact electric hatchback, the Bolt EV, for the 2022 model year. It retains the same 200hp / 360Nm front-wheel-drive drive powertrain and the 65kWh battery unit. New for 2022 is the new Dual Level Charge Cord that increases charging speed.
Design-wise, the Bolt EV now features a new front fascia as well as front and rear lighting. Inside, new instrument panel with a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen and iproved vehicle controls and seats can be found.
In terms of driver assist technologies, Chevrolet also uplifted those found in the Bolt EV to the latest level. Chevy Safety Assist that comes as standard offer features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, IntelliBeam and Front Pedestrian Braking. More features are available as optional extras. Last but not least, 4G LTE and WiFi connectivity is on offer.
Despite all these upgrades, GM has slashed the starting price of the new Bolt EV.
Alongside the facelifted Bolt EV, GM also introduced the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, which is the subcompact crossover version of the Bolt EV.

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The 2022 Chevy Bolt EV builds atop an already solid affordable EV formula with improved aesthetics and a more upmarket interior. New infotainment and the option for adaptive cruise fill gaps in the cabin and help to keep this EV competitive. All 2022 Bolts come standard with a rear-view camera, forward pre-collision alerts with pedestrian detection and lane-departure alerts.
