Leica APO-Summicron-SL 28 f/2 ASPH is a prime lens for L-mount mirrorless cameras. It shares the same dimensions and filter size with the four APO-Summicron-SL lenses released thus far covering the focal lengths of 35, 50, 75, and 90 mm.
The APO-Summicron-SL 28 sports 13 lens elements in 10 groups, including three aspherical elements. Leica assures that this lens delivers high performance even wide open, thanks to its apochromatic correction.
Like other APO-Summicron-SL lenses, the 28 f/2 ASPH features robust stepping DSD (Dual Syncro Drive) motors to ensure fast and precise autofocus. At the same time, the SL Summicron lens does not compromise on manual focusing: Combined with the uniform physical dimensions across the series, it makes the APO-Summicron-SL a compelling choice for videography.
