External Reviews

pcmag[1]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Club 950NC headphones handle deep lows and drones well, tamping down the type of noise that planes and trains produce significantly. JBL estimates battery life to be roughly 22 hours with ANC and Bluetooth in use, and 55 hours with Bluetooth only. The mic's signal is strong, and callers should have no trouble understanding.
Pros
  • Strong audio performance
  • Solid mic quality
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Bass-heavy sound signature

rtings[2]

Reviewer score 38% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The JBL CLUB 950NC are decent over-ear headphones for mixed usage. They look and feel well-built and durable, and are comfortable enough to wear for long periods without fatigue or discomfort. Their sound profile is well-balanced and versatile enough for a wide range of genres and content, from hip-hop to podcasts. Unfortunately, their ANC doesn't help very much, and even with it turned on, they only do an alright job at blocking out background noise.
Pros
  • Well-balanced and versatile sound profile
  • Comfortable enough to wear for long periods without fatigue or discomfort
  • Good leakage performance
Cons
  • Poor integrated microphone
  • Poor noise isolation performance

whathifi[3]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
The grip from the earpads is firm but not uncomfortable – they can pivot and twist to help get the best fit possible. They don't feel as well cushioned as some rivals, though, and it's a similar case with the cushioning around the middle section of the headband. Call quality is good, with the JBL's employing a dual-mic configuration to help deliver clearer voices.
Pros
  • Powerful noise-cancelling
  • Good call quality
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Chunky controls
  • Noise cancellation isn’t great
