Product Overview

JBL LIVE 650BTNC is a sleek set of over-ear wireless headphones with active noise cancellation. It shares the same 40mm drivers with the LIVE 400BT and the same 30h battery life of the LIVE 500BT with ANC off.
With the ANC on, the 650BTNC delivers 20 hours of play time. Its active noise cancellation makes it possible to immersive oneself in the music, with ambient noise filtered out.
Like other models in JBL's LIVE-series, voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are supported. All settings can be adjusted via the all-new JBL App.

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
JBL's Live 650BTNC noise-canceling headphones cost $200. It's not quite as comfortable to wear as Bose's QuietComfort 35 II or the Sony WH-1000XM3. It works with your phone's voice assistant (Siri, Google Now, Bixby)
Pros
  • Comfortable fit
  • Works with multiple devices
Cons
  • Not as comfortable as competing models
  • No multi-point connectivity

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
Plush leather padding makes for comfortable listening. Power, volume, play/pause, Bluetooth pairing, and noise-canceling buttons are on the right earcup. Tapping the outside of the left earcup accesses Google Assistant or Alexa. JBL offers a one-year warranty on defective parts and workmanship.
Pros
  • Great sound quality
  • Excellent noise-canceling
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No dedicated touch controls

Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Bass lovers will enjoy the powerful lows the JBL Live 650BTNC can conjure. The built-in mic offers excellent clarity and the voice assistant tie-ins are useful. For $200, you're getting a lot for your money, though you can find stronger audio and better noise cancellation elsewhere.
Pros
  • Powerful audio performance
  • Comfortable fit
  • Excellent noise cancellation
  • Built-in mic
Cons
  • Low-frequency hiss
  • Noise cancellation could be better

techradar[4]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The JBL Live 650BTNC are one of the most comfortable headphones we've tested. They fold up and flat for travel and come with a cloth pouch. The only touchpad control is on the left earcup and it's used to activate your voice assistant of choice. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa worked as expected but we found that it was too easy to trigger them accidentally by brushing up against the touchpad.
Pros
  • Powerful bass
  • Comfortable fit
  • Good noise-cancelling
Cons
  • Not as comfortable as Bose and Sony
  • No wireless charging

whathifi[5]

Reviewer score 48% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
JBL's Live 650BTNCs use Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless connectivity. Powered by a couple of 40mm full-range drivers with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. Battery is 700mAh, which should be good for around 20 hours of listening with noise-cancellation switched on, or 30 hours with it off.
Pros
  • Impressive noise-cancelling
  • Easy-to-use controls
Cons
  • Disappointing low-frequency response
  • Droning bass
