Product Overview

The fifth-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL) introduces the first three-row, LWB Grand Cherokee L in the Grand Cherokee lineup in early 2021. The two-row Grand Cherokee will be unveiled later.
Unsurprisingly, the WL Grand Cherokee is larger than its predecessor, though the same Pentastar V6 and Hemi V8 are carried over. Like the previous model, the new Grand Cherokee features a unibody chassis with independent front and rear suspensions. It adds Quadra-Lift air suspension with electronic adaptive damping that delivers class-leading on- and off-road handling.
Inside, the new Grand Cherokee comes with a 10-inch infotainment display. It has the latest Uconnect system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Head-up Display, digital rearview mirror, and 950W, 19-speaker McIntosh audio system are all available.

External Reviews

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Grand Cherokee has always majored on value, offering quality and kit for considerably less cash than its premium rivals. This latest model has grown, too, by almost 100mm in length compared with the previous generation. In the US you can also get an extended wheelbase model, the L, with three rows of seats that’s another 290mm longer than the new standard-length car.
Pros
  • Sleek looks
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent tech
Cons
  • Lacklustre off-road performance

cnet[2]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is assembled in Detroit and goes on sale this month. It will be offered in four trim levels: Laredo, Limited, Overland and Summit. The available air suspension enhances dynamics and improves off-road performance. The vehicle's ride quality is soft, even when fitted with 21-inch clodhoppers.
Pros
  • Powerful V6 engine
  • Excellent off-road performance
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Expensive for what you get
