Product Overview
Razer Huntsman V2 Analog is a premium gaming keyboard that features Razer's latest Analog Optical Switches, which improve upon the original Razer Optical Switches.
The analog input makes keystrokes smoother, while the owner can customize the actuation distance of the keys from 1.5mm to 3.6mm. Razer even offers dual-step actuation, where a deeper keystroke can be programmable to deliver a different function.
Like the Razer Optical Switches, the Analog Optical Switches also use light to record key actuation, making it physically simpler and more durable while offering faster and more consistent actuation.
The Huntsman V2 Analog can be personalize with PBT Keycap Upgrade sets in different colors. Naturally, Razer Chroma RGB lighting is included.

Reviewer score 60% (normalized by Neofiliac)Not all games are compatible with the Huntsman V2 Analog's analog keys. You have to reassign your keys for this to work, which means WASD are disabled for any other use. If you want to use those keys to type, you have to revert the programming. This kind of tech could use support from game devs as only a handful of games benefit from the analog functionality.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Comfortable wrist rest
- Solid wireless performance
Cons
- Not all games are compatible with analog keys
- Can't access custom lighting effects
pcmag[2]
Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huntsman V2 Analog relies on Razer's configuration app, Synapse, for customization and software-based control. By default, the keys actuate at 2mm and max out at 3.6mm, which is a slightly lower profile than the Cherry Red linear or Razer Orange tactile switches. You can make the keyboard mirror a gamepad or arcade-style joystick. At $249.99, it's up there with the Corsair K100 RGB and Logitech G915 Lightspeed.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Adjustable actuation
- Supports USB 3.0 passthrough
Cons
- Expensive for what you get
rtings[3]
Reviewer score 32% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Razer Huntsman V2 Analog is an exceptional gaming keyboard. It has remarkably low latency, full RGB backlighting, and macro-programmable keys. However, its Analog Optical switches are linear and don't give any tactile feedback. Also, typing noise is on the louder side and might not be ideal for quiet offices.
Pros
- Very well-built
- Low latency
- Full RGB backlighting
- Good ergonomics
- Great macro-programmable keys
Cons
- No multi-device pairing feature
- No trackpad
- Only works in games that support gamepads
techradar[4]
Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huntsman V2 Analog is the latest version of the popular Razer gaming keyboard. The keyboard can now be powered via a single USB-C or USB 3.0 connection. You can adjust the actuation points for every key, allowing you to set your desired activation depth. The Razer Analog Optical Switches can register two actions on a single keypress across different pressures.
Pros
- Comfortable wrist rest
- Customizable RGB lighting
- Dual-macro mode
Cons
- Not as many features as the Huntsman V2 Analog
tomsguide[5]
Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Razer Huntsman V2 Analog works beautifully across a variety of game genres. Per-key actuation isn't the top of every gamer's wish list, particularly if they have to pay $250 for the functionality. Still, the Apex Pro costs only $200 and offers similar functionality, so it's still worth considering.
Pros
- Per-key actuation works well across a variety of game genres
- Easy to use
Cons
- No group selection or key cluster tools
- Not as intuitive as Synapse software
tomshardware[6]
Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huntsman V2 Analog is one of the most expensive gaming keyboards you can get. Razer's Synapse software lets you set actuation points for each key. The Customize menu lets you assign different functions to each key and even the media controls. The scroll wheel even has three programmable functions (scroll up, down or press in)
Pros
- Attractive design
- Customizable actuation point
- Comfortable wrist rest
Cons
- Expensive for an analog keyboard
- No onboard memory
trustedreviews[7]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huntsman V2 Analog is Razer’s latest premium gaming keyboard. The introduction of analog switches means key inputs are progressive as opposed to simply being on or off. Some of the best functions can only be unlocked by utilising Synapse 3. The overall typing experience is good and pleasant enough for those who like a lighter keypress.
Pros
- Gorgeous RGB lighting
- Superb customisation options
- Comfortable wrist-rest
Cons
- Cable management can be fiddly
