LaptopProduct Gallery
Product Overview
The 2021 LG gram 16 (16Z90P) marks an alignment of LG's laptop lineup to the 16:10 aspect ratio: in a chassis smaller than the 2020 gram 15, the 16Z90P offers larger viewing area and more power while retaining the popular formula.
Thanks to the 11th-gen Intel Core Tiger Lake processor, the gram 16 offers two Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4.0 ports. Its gorgeous IPS display covers 99% of DCI-P3 color space, a significant bump over the previous gram 17. Meanwhile, Iris Xe graphics and LPDDR4X memory are included.
Alongside the gram 16, LG also refreshed the entire LG gram lineup at CES 2021. Other models include the 17-inch gram 17, 16-inch gram 16 2-in-1, and 14-inch gram 14 and gram 14 2-in-1.

laptopmag[1]
Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)The $1,399 LG Gram 16 is a nice laptop for those who need a large display on a very lightweight notebook. It's not a powerhouse like the Dell XPS 17 or 16-inch MacBook Pro, but it's more than enough for many consumers. The keyboard is comfortable but at times imperfect, so close to being short to use.
Pros
- Sleek, lightweight design
- Long battery life
- Comfortable keyboard
Cons
- Display could be brighter
- Short battery life
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG Gram 16 2-in-1 is both quiet and incredibly lightweight for its category. The large 80 Wh battery capacity and power-efficient Tiger Lake-U CPU naturally lead to very long runtimes. PCMark results are excellent and within just a few percentage points of the average laptop in our database equipped with the same Core i7-1165G7 CPU.
Pros
- Sleek, lightweight design
- Excellent battery life
- Strong performance
Cons
- Weak CPU Turbo Boost performance
- No Thunderbolt 3 support
- Short battery life
techadvisor[3]
Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG Gram 16 is a gorgeous laptop boasting an incredibly lightweight form factor. There's a big jump in performance on offer from this year's LG Gram range, offering Intel Evo platform certification. LG claims that the Gram 16 can last a whopping 22 hours on a single charge, and although our benchmark result of 18 hours and 14 minutes didn't last quite that long, the 80Wh battery can comfortably get you through a day's work. The laptop runs the latest version of Windows 10 Home, and also offers integration with Amazon Alexa.
Pros
- Gorgeous 16:10 display
- Powerful Intel Evo platform
- Great battery life
Cons
- Pricier than competition
techradar[4]
Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG Gram 16 (2021) is an Intel Evo-certified laptop. This means it comes with Intel's 11th generation mobile processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics. The taller 16:10 aspect ratio is a benefit with portrait documents, giving you more vertical space, which means less scrolling. The screen looks great, though it has a glossy finish that means it's very reflective, especially if you're working in areas with bright lights.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Excellent battery life
- Excellent performance
Cons
- Some bloatware
- Alexa app is annoying
trustedreviews[5]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG Gram 16 has a huge 16-inch display with a 2560×1600 resolution. Despite having the same Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor as the Dell XPS 13 and Razer Book 13, the Gram lagged behind in the benchmark test results. The drop in performance is likely due to LG’s pursuit of such a lightweight build, with LG compromising on the size of the cooling solution to make the laptop as light and thin as possible. The Gram 16 offers a base storage option of 512GB, climbing up to 1TB.
Pros
- Gorgeous 16:10 display
- Excellent portability
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Lackluster graphics performance
- No Thunderbolt 3
