Product Overview

Epson EcoTank ET-5850 is an all-in-one printer that features Epson's PrecisionCore printhead as well as scan, copy, and fax functionalities optimized for color-printing. It is marketed as EcoTank L6570 in some markets.
Designed for home office and small business, the EcoTank ET-5850 offers high print, scan, and copy speeds as well as fast first-page-out. It comes with not only an ADF but also two 250-sheet front paper cassettes. It further features a 10.9cm LCD touchscreen that makes operating the printer more intuitive.
The EcoTank ET-5850 uses Epson's PrecisionCore technology, which is an update over Epson's Micro Piezo technology. Using the latest manufacturing process, the PrecisionCore printhead allows for significantly higher number of nozzles. This dramatically increases printing speed.
Epson also markets the ET-5800 / L6550 comes with fewer color nozzles than the ET-5850 but is identical otherwise. The ET-16600 / L15150 is the corresponding printer in the A3+ class.

Reviewers from pcmag have found:
EcoTank Pro machines feature the company's PrecisionCore 4S Heat-Free printhead. The ET-5850's text is near typesetter quality down to the smallest font legible. Colors were more than accurate enough to avoid unsightly color shifts. Two years of unlimited ink is hard to beat, and can reduce the overall cost of ownership.
