Product Overview
Epson EcoTank ET-5800 is an A4 all-in-one printer that features Epson's PrecisionCore printhead as well as scan, copy, and fax functionalities. It is marketed as EcoTank L6550 in some markets.
Designed for home office and small business, the EcoTank ET-5800 offers high print, scan, and copy speeds as well as fast first-page-out. It comes with not only an ADF but also two 250-sheet front paper cassettes. It further features a 10.9cm LCD touchscreen that makes operating the printer more intuitive.
The EcoTank ET-5800 uses Epson's PrecisionCore technology, which is an update over Epson's Micro Piezo technology. Using the latest manufacturing process, the PrecisionCore printhead allows for significantly higher number of nozzles. This dramatically increases printing speed.
Epson also markets the ET-5850 / L6570 that is optimized for color printing but is identical to the ET-5800 otherwise. The ET-16650 / L15160 is the corresponding printer in the A3+ class.
