Product Overview

Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 with AMD is a 14-inch business laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 4000 U-series processors. Released together with the ThinkPad E14, it mixes features found in this "Gen-1" Intel model as well as the E14 Gen 2 with Intel.
Specifically, the E14 Gen 2 with AMD is available in both plastic or metal construction, like the Gen 1. It offers the same 65W fast charging support, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1 found in the E14 Gen 2 with Intel.
Despite its entry-level positioning, the E14 Gen 2 with AMD is tested against military-grade requirements for durability like all ThinkPad models.
Lenovo also markets a 15.6-inch ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 powered by either Intel or AMD.

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 has a single DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM and 4 GB to 8 GB on-board memory. The Toshiba SSD with a capacity of 512 GB used here is fast, though there are faster PCIe NVMe SSDs on the market. The stereo speakers with Harman branding do not adequately provide a little of bass.
Pros
  • Matte IPS panel
  • Dual-channel memory
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Only one M.2 slot
  • No Thunderbolt 3
