Product Overview

Dell UltraSharp U2421E is a 24-inch WUXGA / FHD+ monitor designed for productivity. It comes with a built-in USB hub that includes RJ45 LAN connectivity for single-cable solution when connected to laptops or mobile workstations.
Unlike previous-gen UltraSharp monitors and indeed the FHD U2421HE in this generation, the U2421E features 4-sided "infinity" bezels. With the current gen's sleek design and the integrated USB hub, the UltraSharp U2421E is a great option either as a single-cable solution for mobile devices or, thanks to the DisplayPort output, for an immersive dual-display setup.
The WUXGA, 16:10 aspect ratio offers 11% more screen real estate in a chassis that is slightly narrower than the FHD variant.
Other monitors in Dell's premium UltraSharp lineup include the WQHD U3421WE in 34-inch, the 4K UP3221Q with mini-LED in 32-inch, the QHD U2721DE in 27-inch, and the FHD U2421HE in 24-inch.

Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Dell UltraSharp 24 USB-C Hub Monitor (U2421E) is a worthy addition to the small but growing niche. Its nifty range of features includes the ability to charge or power a laptop while viewing or streaming content from it. The onscreen display is well designed and easy to navigate thanks to a mini-joystick controller.
Pros
  • Excellent sRGB coverage
  • Supports up to three USB-C ports
  • USB 3.2 Type-A port
Cons
  • Lacks Ethernet port

techadvisor[2]

Reviewer score 51% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techadvisor have found:
Dell U2421E has a USB-C docking station and can be bought in pairs for $499 in the U.S. The screen has 99% of sRGB and 83% of P3, but only 76% of the AdobeRGB gamut. Colour representation is good, but not at a level that would impress those considered to be colourists. Some HDCP compliant applications may refuse to play with this screen connected.
Pros
  • Decent colour representation
  • Solid build quality
  • USB-C port
Cons
  • No integrated speakers
  • No HDMI port

techradar[3]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Dell UltraSharp 24 U2421E has a full HD resolution and a USB-C input. It can be used as a secondary display or a docking station for your laptop. The LED panel produces a bit of a warmer color palette that's most noticeable with a white screen. If you're a creative professional, you may want to pass this monitor up in favor of one with native 4K resolution.
Pros
  • Full HD resolution
  • Wide viewing angles
  • Built-in stand
Cons
  • No HDMI port
  • No integrated speakers
