Product Overview
Sony WH-CH710N are affordable over-ear wireless headphones with active noise cancellation. Despite its unassuming design, the WH-CH710N shares some features with the WH-1000XM4.
Like other premium wireless headphones released in recent years, the WH-CH710N features multi-sensor active noise cancellation as well as ambient sound mode. This makes it possible to combine enhanced noise cancelling performance and the flexibility to carry out conversation whenever the user wishes.
Like the flagship WH-1000XM4, the WH-CH710N can be operated wired or wirelessly. It can continue to operate wired when the battery is depleted. With both Bluetooth and ANC on, the headphones deliver a 35-hour battery life. Fast charging is also available.

External Reviews
digitaltrends[1]
Reviewer score 60% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sony WH-CH710N have what I can best describe as dependable audio quality. It takes about seven hours to fully charge the headphones, but you can get an hour of playback from 10 minutes of charging. If you're after high-fidelity sound for a fraction of the price, you'll be disappointed.
Pros
- Excellent sound quality
- Good battery life
- Decent noise cancellation
Cons
- No active noise cancellation

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)With ANC on, expect increased bass depth and slightly higher overall volume levels. On tracks with intense sub-bass content, the headphones deliver powerful-low frequency response. Ambient listening mode works well for conversing or hearing your surroundings without removing the headphones. At $200, Sony's WH-CH710N headphones are good option for budget-friendly headphones.
Pros
- Solid audio performance
- Good noise cancellation
- Comfortable fit
Cons
- Lacks in-app EQ and ANC
- No carrying case
rtings[3]
Reviewer score 36% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sony WH-CH710N are decent for neutral sound. They have a very accurate mid-range that helps make voices and lead instruments clear and present in the mix. However, their bass-heavy sound profile isn't ideal for all listeners. They also have an inconsistent audio delivery in the mid and treble ranges.
Pros
- Very accurate mid-range
- Comfortable fit
- Long continuous battery life
- Good noise isolation
Cons
- Bass-heavy sound profile
- Bulky design
techradar[4]
Reviewer score 44% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sony WH-CH710N have a USB Type-C port that's used for charging. They use Bluetooth 5.0 with support for SBC and AAC codecs. Disappointingly they don't seem to support LDAC or aptX - which means you don't get Hi-Res Audio support. Their actual noise cancellation isn't the best we've ever heard.
Pros
- Excellent noise-cancellation
- Good battery life
- Comfortable to wear
Cons
- Not the best noise cancellation
- Battery life could be better
trustedreviews[5]
Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sony WH-CH710N are an enjoyable pair of noise-cancelling headphones. It’s a well-rounded, dynamic listen with bright highs and rumbling lows. The bass is packed with detail and the high-end is nimble and defined. While ANC is great, it isn’t on par with what you’d get on more expensive headphones.
Pros
- Impressive noise-cancelling performance
- Comfortable fit
- Good battery life
Cons
- Mediocre bass and treble
- Ambient Sound mode could be better
