Product Overview

Samsung HW-T450 is an entry-level 2.1-channel soundbar with a small wireless subwoofer. It enriches the sound reproduction of video and gaming experience with a more powerful sound than a TV alone can manage.
Unlike higher-spec'd models in the Q-series, the HW-T450 loses more involved digital processing and connectivity options, opting for an honest 2.1-channel setup. Compared to the more simplistic S-series soundbars, it adds a separate, wireless subwoofer.
The HW-T450 can be paired with Samsung's SWA-8500S wireless rear speakers to create a 4.1-channel setup.

Reviewer score 41% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Samsung HW-T450 is adequate for mixed use. It has a bass-heavy sound profile that can also be tweaked using its bass or treble adjustment features. It's also pretty okay for dialogue-centric content like audiobooks as voices sound fairly clear and accurate. It doesn't support Atmos content, which is disappointing for movie fans.
Pros
  • Bass-heavy sound profile
  • Can get loud enough for a large room or crowded environment
  • Supports Atmos content
Cons
  • Doesn't support Atmos
  • No dialogue enhancement feature
  • Lacks low bass
