digitaltrends[1]
Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MSI GS66 Stealth is in step but not ahead of many of its rivals in several areas. It lacks the refinements of the Razer Blade, and isn't as affordable as the Acer Predator Triton 500. The cooling is impressive, and the gaming performance is fantastic. The build quality can be a little delicate in places, so be careful with how you handle it.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Excellent gaming performance
- Excellent cooling
Cons
- No G-Sync
- No 4K display
gizmodo[2]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)MSI's GS66 Stealth gaming laptop has an i7 CPU, 32GB of RAM, 2070 Super GPU, and a 300 Hz 1080p display. In Far Cry 5 at 1080p and ultra graphics, the GS66 averaged 96 fps, which was easily boosted to well over 120 by turning graphics down to high. The Stealth's main shortcomings boil down to a few things.
Pros
- Sleek, lightweight design
- Solid performance
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- High-pitched fan noise
- No 4K or OLED screen options
laptopmag[3]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)The GS66 Stealth is the first machine I've reviewed with one of Intel's 10th Gen Comet Lake H-Series processors. The laptop's 14-nanometer 2.6-GHz Intel Core i7-10750H processor is as strong as an ox. To ensure you can take your games on the road, MSI has outfitted the Stealth with a 99.9 watt hour battery.
Pros
- Gorgeous OLED display
- Powerful Intel Core i7-10750H processor
- Comfortable keyboard
Cons
- Lackluster audio
notebookcheck[4]
Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac)A powerful hexa-core processor, dual-channel memory, and a fast NVMe SSD make for a fast and smooth system. The high-end GPU brings all modern computer games smoothly onto the screen. The system doesn't seem to be suitable for real-time video and audio-editing.
Pros
- High-quality IPS display
- Full HD resolution
- NVMe SSD
- Good battery life
Cons
- No Thunderbolt 3
pcmag[5]
Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac) MSI GS66 Stealth has plenty of advanced features and will perform at very high frame rates in all games. It's a reasonably portable, high-performing machine, but the design is more run-of-the-mill. The battery life isn't short enough to undermine the system's portability, even if it's not setting any records.
Pros
- Sleek, lightweight design
- Excellent performance
- High-end components
- Good battery life
Cons
- Not as powerful as its predecessor
- No Thunderbolt 3 port
pcworld[6]
Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)The keyboard on the GS66 is slightly mushy, but overall we'd say it's fine. The trackpad is oversized and continues to be centered a little too far to the right for our fat palms. Image quality for your Zoom video conferences is fair, the same resolution you'll find on the vast majority of laptops.
Pros
- Sleek, lightweight design
- Good performance for a 15.6-inch laptop
- Great battery life
Cons
- Loud fan noise when gaming
techadvisor[7]
Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)MSI GS66 Stealth is one of the cheapest new models from MSI. It costs £1,699 in the UK and $1,599 in the US. The Intel 10th-gen Core i7-10750H delivers a modest improvement over the XMG Fusion 15. It has enough speed to handle high-end single-player games. It also has the pace to play esports games at beyond 200fps.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Good gaming performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- Not as fast as rivals
techradar[8]
Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MSI GS66 Stealth has a 240Hz 1080p display. Graphics grunt comes from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 with 6GB of memory. A USB mouse remains better for gaming, but this is serviceable. Internal temperatures can be an issue – the GPU is fine, but the CPU often surges beyond 90°C and throttles.
Pros
- Great gaming performance
- Solid build quality
- Good battery life
Cons
- Mediocre speakers
- No G-Sync
tomshardware[9]
Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)MSI's GS66 Stealth gaming laptop has one of the biggest batteries we've ever seen in a laptop. While it lasts longer than many other gaming laptops, it's not the longest-lasting one we've seen. The 720p webcam in the top bezel is lackluster, and the picture is grainy.
Pros
- Sleek, attractive design
- Powerful gaming performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- Below-average performance
trustedreviews[10]
Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MSI GS66 Stealth is equipped with the new Intel 10th Gen H-Series processors and Nvidia’s latest RTX graphics cards. It hits a size sweet spot for gamers who might find smaller displays far from ideal and bigger displays just impractical. Some gamers will be disappointed at the lack of G-Sync and FreeSync, which prevent screen tearing from ruining the visuals.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Excellent gaming performance
- Excellent trackpad
Cons
- No G-Sync or FreeSync
- Short battery life
