Product Overview
Amphion Argon7LS is the largest of two floorstanding loudspeakers in Amphion's mid-level Argon series designed for both stereo and home theatre applications. Sharing many features with Argon3S and Argon3LS, it uses a 2-way, passive radiator design with two woofer and two rear-firing radiators.
The Argon series loudspeakers employ design and technologies from the company's professional studio monitor line: While the smaller bookshelf and the center channel speakers use traditional vented design, the larger models feature rear-firing passive radiators that avoid common issues associated with bass reflex designs and make placement easier.
Like other Amphion loudspeakers, a 1600Hz crossover is chosen to allow the tweeter and the woofer(s) work as a single point source. The specifically designed waveguide reduces the "sweet spot" effect.
The Argon series also include three bookshelf speakers, Argon0, Argon1, and Argon3S, a smaller floorstanders, Argon3LS, and one center channel, Argon5C.
