laptopmag[1]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Firefly 14 G7 is equipped with an Nvidia Quadro P520 GPU with 2GB of VRAM. It's not a laptop meant for gaming, but it does fine when used casually. But for $22,599, I expect a workstation of this caliber to have a more vivid panel.
Pros
  • Bright, vivid display
  • Solid audio performance
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port
  • Mediocre webcam

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The HP Firefly 14 G7 impresses above all with a high and consistent CPU performance. We also liked the two Thunderbolt ports and the input devices; the speakers are surprisingly good too. However, customers also have to put up with compromises due to the mobile design. Although performance is good compared to the direct competition, it can't keep up with conventional workstations.
Pros
  • Very good CPU performance
  • Good battery life
  • Decent keyboard backlight
Cons
  • Display could be brighter
  • No SD reader or SD reader
  • No privacy filter

pcmag[3]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The HP ZBook 14 G7 can't compete with the raw power of most mobile workstations. The Firefly's cooling fan spooled up to a clearly audible level. If you're after a laptop that will get your specialized tasks done in style, the Firefly is an obvious choice.
Pros
  • Sleek, light design
  • Light and compact
  • Supports Intel Xeon CPU and 4K display
Cons
  • No memory card support
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port
