Product Overview

ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro 17 is a thin and compact mobile workstation in the ProArt StudioBook series. Thanks to its 17-inch 16:10 WUXGA display with NanoEdge, the StudioBook Pro 17 is roughly the same size of a 15.6-inch laptop from the competition.
ASUS has given the ProArt StudioBook Pro 17 two choices of processors, with Xeon E-2276M being an option. The Pro 17 also features Quadro RTX 3000 graphics that is ISV certified. The LED-illuminated NumberPad integrated into the touchpad makes the laptop even more versatile.
Two other 17-inch models exist in this generation of ProArt mobile workstations, the similarly-designed ProArt StudioBook 17 (H700GV) that drops the Quadro graphics and Xeon processor but is otherwise the same, and the more full-featured ProArt StudioBook Pro X (W730G5T) that features Quadro RTX 5000 graphics, 95Wh battery, and 4 SO-DIMMs in an even smaller body.
ASUS also markets three 15.6-inch models in the ProArt StudioBook series: the StudioBook 15, Pro 15, and One.

notebookcheck[1]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The StudioBook Pro 17 is equipped with a Samsung PM981 with a storage capacity of 1 TB. The graphics card has the designation Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q. The processor is basically limited to 45 Watts (6x 3.2-3.3 GHz), but occasionally drops to just 8W. The maximum fan noise is 38.3 dB(A), which is still okay.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • Very good battery life
  • Good input devices
  • Good speakers
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3
  • Fan control is very sensitive to load changes

pcmag[2]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The StudioBook Pro 17 is built to be a stellar performer in Adobe Photoshop. You'll have no trouble getting through a full workday on a single charge as long as you're not stressing the graphics card. If you're looking for a high-octane mobile workstation that doesn't take space on your desk or in your briefcase, the ProArt Studio is a great choice.
Pros
  • Gorgeous 4K display
  • Excellent keyboard and touchpad
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

techradar[3]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The 16:10 aspect ratio may throw some people off, but for design work it's actually quite handy. At the top of the display you've got a 720p webcam which is just barely usable for applications. Storage comes in the form of NVMe M.2 SSDs, with our model packing two drives in a RAID 0 array.
Pros
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Decent performance
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No 4k display
  • No Thunderbolt 3
