Product Overview

ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro X is the flagship mobile workstation in the ProArt StudioBook series. It is one of the world's thinnest and lightest 17-inch mobile workstation, despite featuring Xeon E-2276M processor with ECC memory support and Quadro RTX 5000 graphics.
The ProArt StudioBook Pro X features ultra-thin 3.8mm bezels that result in an astounding 92% screen-to-body ratio. With a 17-inch 16:10 WUXGA display, the Pro X can fit comfortably into a bag for 15.6-inch laptops while offering 25% larger viewing area.
Unique to the flagship Pro X is an ASUS ScreenPad 2.0, which is a FHD+ IPS display underneath the glass touchpad, offering numerous additional applications.
Other models in this generation of ProArt StudioBook laptops include the ProArt StudioBook 15, Pro 15, and One in 15.6-inch, and ProArt StudioBook 17 and Pro 17 in 17-inch.

External Reviews

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The ProArt StudioBook Pro X is a robust piece of equipment, with a sturdy hinge. The 16:10 aspect ratio is a great, modern touch that gives it a professional feel away from more typical, 16:9 offerings. The optional ScreenPad adds smartphone-like interaction with the laptop, offering quick access app launchers and bespoke commands. With great hardware and feel, and an intriguing second screen that could offer more useful function than the MacBook Pro's Touch Bar, this could be the most exciting of the expanded ProArt range.
Pros
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
  • Great 16:10 aspect ratio
Cons
  • ScreenPad isn’t for everyone

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Intel Xeon E-2276M is a special workstation processor with six cores, up to 12 threads and vPro. A maximum consumption of 80 watts is possible in the Asus ProArt StudioBook Pro X W730G5T. However, this is only at the beginning of the Cinebench multicore loop, after which the consumption is limited to about 60 watts.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • Good input devices
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • High-frequency fan noise under load
  • High power consumption under load

techradar[3]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)

The Asus ProArt StudioBook Pro X is a powerful workstation designed for creatives. It has an Intel Xeon processor, Nvidia Quadro graphics and up to 128GB of RAM. It's thicker than pretty much anything else on the market and has more ports to match. At the time of this writing we don't have pricing or release date information for the laptop.
Pros
  • Extremely powerful
  • Excellent keyboard
  • Comfortable to type on
Cons
  • ScreenPad is a bit clumsy
  • ScreenPad isn’t very useful
