Product Overview
G7 15 7500 is the most powerful 15-inch gaming laptop in Dell's 2020 G-series. Powered by up to Intel Core i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics, the G7 15 7500 delivers more performance while being thinner and lighter than its lesser stablemates.
Essentially, the G7 15 7500 is the stepping stone to a full Alienware m15 R3, which offers an even more sleek design and best-in-class options.
Dell also markets the G5 15 5500 and G3 15 3500 for those with a tighter budget. There is also a 17-inch variant, the G7 17 7700, which offers much of the same feature set and design elements.

cnet[1]
Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Dell G7 15 is a victim of its lower-end linemate's success. The G5 15 offers a wide variety of component options starting at $900 for entry-level and mainstream gamers. The issue I have is the G7 doesn't differentiate itself enough from the G5 for those on a budget.
Pros
- Attractive and light case
- Good performance for a budget gaming laptop
Cons
- Touchpad is a bit fiddly
- No Thunderbolt 3
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)The G7 7590 uses the same matte 1080p144 AU Optronics B156HAN panel as found on the Dell G5 15 5590 and Alienware m15 R1. The clickpad (10.5 x 6.5 cm) is smaller than the clickpads on the XPS 15 and cheaper G3 3590. The integrated speakers lack bass and are heavy in treble.
Pros
- Slim bezels
- High-quality build quality
- Very good battery life
- Good keyboard backlight options
Cons
- Low contrast ratio
- Very high CPU temperatures
- High Core i9 and RTX 2080 Max-Q performance
