rtings[1]

Reviewer score 29% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Samsung Sero is a decent TV for most uses. It has good visibility in bright rooms, decent viewing angles, and it upscales lower resolution content like cable TV and videos from social media sites well. Unfortunately, its low contrast ratio and bad black uniformity make it less ideal for watching movies. It can't deliver a satisfying HDR experience due to its low HDR peak brightness and lack of local dimming.
Pros
  • Good visibility in bright rooms
  • Decent viewing angles
  • Low input lag and low lag
Cons
  • Low contrast ratio and bad black uniformity
  • Mediocre peak brightness
  • No VRR support

techradar[2]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Sero features the Quantum Processor 4K found on most new Samsung TVs. It's fully able to handle fast motion – something we saw in action with Netflix's The Old Guard. The 16:9 aspect ratio also means you're still watching most TV and movies in its intended format. The optional ‘amplify’ sound mode will emphasize voices and dialogue.
Pros
  • High-contrast 16:9 aspect ratio
  • Excellent picture quality
Cons
  • No Dolby Vision
  • No HDR10+ support

tomsguide[3]

Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Samsung Sero is the first TV designed with mobile users in mind. When your phone is paired, the Sero becomes an extension of your screen. While it's most seamless with a Samsung phone, iPhone users can use AirPlay to reflect their screens. The Sero's audio underwhelmed during my initial impressions.
Pros
  • Always-on display doubles as a photo gallery or digital clock
  • Gorgeous design
Cons
  • Audio underwhelms
