Product Overview
GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming Trio is MSI's flagship graphics card in its RTX-30-series lineup. Available in Gaming Trio and Gaming X Trio versions that differ in boost clock, MSI's RTX 3090 Gaming-series graphics card combines performance with stylish design.
Thanks to NVIDIA's new Ampere architecture, the new generation of graphics cards offer 2x the ray-tracing, AI, and FP32 throughput.
MSI's Torx Fan 4.0, Core Pipes, and advanced heatsink design ensures that the more efficient RTX-30-series chip is able to perform at full boost for longer. MSI has also endowed the RTX 3090 Gaming Trio with enhanced circuitry components that are able to withstand the test of time.
For a lower-priced alternative with slightly lower boost clock and no RGB lighting, MSI also offers the RTX 3090 Ventus.

External Reviews
techradar[1]
Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio is around 4-10% faster than the Founders Edition in our testing. In our personal rig, which we recently, uh, remodeled, it looks fantastic, and that little RGB strip fits in extremely well. It's essentially the same as the RTX 3080 model we already reviewed, so it measures a massive 12.71 inches long. The card does come with a support bracket you can use to support the sheer size of the card, too, which will be extremely useful to users without PCIe support built-in.
Pros
- 8K gaming at 4K
- Great RGB lighting
- Great price
Cons
- No HDMI 2.1
