ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 is a premium graphics card that features NVIDIA's latest Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors. A more affordable alternative to the ROG Strix RTX 3080, the TUF Gaming RTX 3080 nonetheless delivers great gaming and machine-learning performance.

Like the ROG alternative, the TUF Gaming RTX 3080 features ASUS's new Axial-tech heat management design, including 2.7-slot form factor, increased heatsink contact area, and reversed center fan.

ASUS also markets TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 and RTX 3090.

The Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 OC is a fine card that meets the expectations set by Nvidia's killer Founders Edition. It's plenty fast as it comes out of the box, relative to almost anything else out there. The card's thermal performance was surprisingly chilly.

The Asus GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming retails for the same $699 (£650, AU$1,399) as the Founders Edition. While it doesn't have the downright futuristic cooler design of Nvidia's own card, the cooler Asus brings to the table does a fantastic job of keeping temperatures under control. There are also three fans here, which combined with the fact that there are just 2 8-pin PCIe power connectors is one of the largest contributing factors.

The Asus RTX 3080 card is over 30% faster than the outgoing RTX 2080 Ti, it looks great, and it's quiet. The default factory overclock doesn't really make a noticeable difference, but the 2.7-slot cooler keeps the power hungry GPU running frosty. About the only item missing (for some users) is some serious RGB bling.
