Product Overview

Razer Book 13 is a high-performance laptop computer optimized for portable computing. Featuring a gorgeous 13.4" display in 16:10 and per-key RGB, the Razer Book 13 is slim and sleek.
Carved from a single block of aluminum, the Razer Book gives a premium feel. It measures just over half an inch thin and a kilo light. In this compact chassis, Razer nonetheless managed to fit two up-firing stereo speakers. As a result, the Razer Book 13 is a great multimedia machine.
The Razer Book 13 is powered by 11th-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 mobile processors, with support for Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 6, and LPDDR4x dual-channel memory.

androidauthority[1]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from androidauthority have found:
The glass touchpad in the Razer Book 13 is terrific. It feels great, it's incredibly accurate, and presses aren't too “clicky” The keyboard is not so great, there have been many times where it didn't register when I stroke a key. As long as you are aware of the limitations of this machine, you'll be happy.
Pros
  • Beautiful glass touchpad
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent webcam
Cons
  • Keyboard isn’t great
  • Poor webcam

digitaltrends[2]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The Razer Book 13 has a $1,200 base configuration that comes with a Core i5-1135G7. You can upgrade to 512GB of storage, but most premium laptops offer configurations with at least 1TB. It's one step behind battery life leaders like the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425 or Lenovo Yoga 9i 41.
Pros
  • Sleek, colorful design
  • Excellent battery life
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Battery life could be better
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

gizmodo[3]

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from gizmodo have found:
The Razer Book 13 isn't a gaming laptop, but Razer still included its beautiful per-key Chroma backlighting. Inside, Razer offers a choice of 11th-gen Core i5 or i7 CPUs and Intel Iris XE integrated graphics. It doesn't come with an option to add a discrete GPU like you get on the Razer Blade Stealth.
Pros
  • Beautiful 16:10 display
  • Beautiful RGB backlighting
  • Great keyboard and touchpad
Cons
  • Mediocre battery life
  • No discrete GPU

laptopmag[4]

Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Razer Book 13's integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics did a bang-up job on our graphics testing. It's the longest battery life we've ever seen on a Razer laptop. The ZenBook 13's 1TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD notched a faster rate than the XPS 13.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Long battery life
  • Bright, colorful display
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Lackluster performance
  • No Thunderbolt 3

notebookcheck[5]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Intel AX201 comes standard for Wi-Fi 6 which is one of the requirements for being an Intel Evo laptop. A one-year warranty comes standard compared to three years on more traditional business laptops. The Book 13 keyboard is identical to the Blade Stealth in terms of overall size and key feedback.
Pros
  • Sleek and light design
  • Full-size RGB Chroma backlight
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Weak and spongy key feedback

pcmag[6]

Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Razer Book 13 is a sleek and compact machine that reaches the top tier of ultraportables. It's light and thin, offers a gorgeous display, and sports a mature all-silver look. The inclusion of USB-A and HDMI, as well as Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports, is a strong point in its favor. The Razer's battery life is solid, even if not revolutionary.
Pros
  • Sleek, premium design
  • Gorgeous display
  • Solid battery life
  • Built-in USB-A and HDMI ports
Cons
  • No RGB lighting

pcworld[7]

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcworld have found:
The Razer Book 13 has an Intel Core i7-11G5G7 processor and 16GB of RAM. RGB lighting is the laptop's clearest nod to Razer's gaming roots. It's plenty fast for everyday productivity tasks and gets decent battery life. While the laptop is pricey, paying more for slick design and no bloat isn't an outrageous prospect.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Solid battery life
Cons
  • No fingerprint reader
  • Mediocre speakers

t3[8]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
The Razer Book 13 is one of the best gaming laptops on the market. It has an impressive 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics is the best integrated graphic system Intel has put out yet. There's no fingerprint sensor embedded in the keyboard or trackpad, which is a shame. Battery life could be a bit better, but we didn't test the laptop using the battery saver mode.
Pros
  • Top-tier gaming performance
  • Excellent keyboard and trackpad
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No fingerprint sensor
  • Battery life could be better

techradar[9]

Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Razer Book 13 has essentially the same hardware as the Dell XPS 13, but manages to get more out of it for the most part. The keyboard is the typical notebook layout without a tenkey, but if you're used to notebooks, that's not unusual. The multitouch trackpad is smooth and responsive, while the left and right buttons are both snappy. The top-firing speakers offer some of the best sound we've ever heard on a laptop.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Solid build quality
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Battery life could be better
  • Some bloatware

tomsguide[10]

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Razer Book 13 has a 2.8-GHz Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU and 16GB of RAM. On Geekbench 5 general benchmarking tests, it sits in the middle of the XPS 13 and MacBook Air. It took 14 minutes and 46 seconds to convert a 4K movie to 1080p.
Pros
  • Sleek, minimalist design
  • Good battery life
  • Slim bezels
Cons
  • Mediocre performance
  • No Thunderbolt 3 ports

tomshardware[11]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The Razer Book 13 has top-firing speakers on the sides of the keyboard. The only bloatware is what's built into Windows 10, like Roblox, Hulu, and Hidden City: Hidden Object Adventure. It's debatable whether the Book 13 is really the company's first shot at an ultraportable.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Solid performance
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Lacks bass
  • Limited storage options

trustedreviews[12]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Razer Book 13 is an impressive Windows laptop featuring a cutting-edge design. It features a 4K touchscreen and the most powerful performances we’ve seen in an Ultrabook. But Razer is charging too much for its new laptop, especially since you’re getting only a 256GB SSD with the base model.
Pros
  • Powerful Intel Core i7 processor
  • Excellent battery life
  • Solid performance
Cons
  • Lags behind rivals
  • Only 256GB of storage
