Product Overview

The pocket-sized Go 3 is JBL's smallest speaker. It features a large (for its size) 1.5-inch full-frame driver encased in a water- and dust-proof housing that is colorful and bold.
The brand-new edgy look and expressive details of the JBL GO 3 are inspired by street fashion. It plays on for five hours on one charge, delivering surprisingly rich JBL Pro Sound and punchy bass.
Alongside the Go 3, JBL also introduced the Clip 4, which comes with an easy-to-use clip.

pcmag[1]

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The JBL Go 3 can be submerged up to a meter in water for up to 30 minutes. A single mono 1.5-inch driver delivers 4.2 watts of audio. At top volumes, the driver manages not to distort even when the enclosure vibrates. Limited controls and the lack of a speakerphone are slightly annoying.
Pros
  • Waterproof design
  • Solid audio performance
  • Waterproof build
Cons
  • No speakerphone functionality
  • No Bluetooth 5.1

t3[2]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
The JBL Go 3 keeps things simple and as such, it isn't very feature-heavy. You won't get the JBL PartyBoost function that allows you to pair it with other JBL speakers to boost the sound. There’s no microphone so it won’t double up as a speakerphone either. You do get the most up to date Bluetooth 5.1 though so at least you can rely on the connection not to drop out. The battery will last about 5 hours of music which is enough for a trip to the beach but perhaps not for anything longer like a camping trip.
Pros
  • Great sound quality
  • Easy to use
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • Nothing in particular

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
Despite its low price, the Go 3 promises waterproofing to the IP67 standard. It can go loud enough to fill a decent-sized room, but distortion kicks in well before the volume maxes out. The Wonderboom 2 is drastically crisper and clearer, so remains your best bet if you want a diminutive waterproof speaker.
Pros
  • Waterproofing to IP67 standard
  • Compact design
Cons
  • No aux port
  • No multiroom support

whathifi[4]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
The Go 3 features Bluetooth 5.1 instead of 4.1, plus a maximum power output of4.2W, up from 3W in the Go 2. It takes 2.5 hours to charge fully, and you can still only get five hours of playtime from it from a single charge. There's still no app support, so PartyBoost daisy-chaining with other JBL speakers is not possible, nor can you pair two Go 3s in either mono or stereo mode.
Pros
  • Bass and treble improvements
  • Improved build quality
Cons
  • Battery life could be better
  • No app support
