Product Overview
JBL Clip 4 is an ultraportable wireless speaker with IP67 water and dust resistance designed for outdoors. It is powered by a 1.5-inch driver and comes with a 10-hour battery life.
As the 4th-iteration of the wearable speaker concept, the Clip 4 has been upgraded with tougher materials and a "clip" that is even easier to hook onto a backpack. JBL offers the Clip 4 in eight different colors.
Alongside the Clip 4, JBL also introduced the smaller Go 3, which features a loop instead of the clip.

External Reviews
pcmag[1]
Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Clip 4 is a good-looking, easily portable speaker that has a fully waterproof, dust-resistant build. It's compatible with Bluetooth 5.1, and supports AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs, but not AptX. At top volumes, the DSP (digital signal processing) thins things out notably, while at more moderate volume levels, the track seems to pack a little more richness and bass presence.
Pros
- Waterproof, dust-resistant build
- Bluetooth 5.1 and AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs
- USB-C port
Cons
- Bass distortion is a bummer
- No aux input

Reviewer score 13% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Clip 4 is disappointing for videos and movies. It struggles to produce low-bass and has a muddy overall sound. While its soundstage is wide and spacious, it has to downmix stereo content into mono to play it. It doesn't get very loud, and there are compression artifacts at max volume.
Pros
- Wide and spacious soundstage
- Low audio latency on iOS and Android
- Gets very loud
- Good battery life
- Very portable
Cons
- Lacks low-bass
- No EQ
- Mediocre audio performance
