Product Overview

Razer BlackWidow V3 is the wired version of the BlackWidow V3 Pro. Continuing the legacy of the world's first mechanical gaming keyboard series, the BlackWidow V3 features improved key switches, Doubleshot ABS keycaps, brighter Razer Chroma RGB lighting, dedicated media keys with digital roller, and an ergonomic wrist rest.
At the heart of the new BlackWidow V3 are the Razer Mechanical Switches: Razer Green switch offers a precise, audible, and clicky actuation, while the Yellow switch is smooth, silent, and linear. The latter now features silicone sound dampeners for an even quieter experience. With extra sidewalls for better switch stability, the Razer Mechanical Switches are extremely durable and reliable for up to 80 million keystrokes. Both switch types on the BlackWidow V3 now feature a new transparent housing, for brighter, more vibrant Razer Chroma RGB lighting.
Razer has endowed the BlackWidow V3 with Doubleshot ABS keycaps. Unlike traditional backlit keycaps, which use printed lettering, the doubleshot molding process has the lettering molded into the structure of the keycap. They are molded with extra-thick walls for additional durability and stability.
A new addition is the Multi-funciton Digital Roller. Along with the media keys, it can be used for volume controls, play, pause, and track skipping, or reprogrammed through Razer Synapse 3 for virtually any function.

Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Razer BlackWidow V3 at $139 is certainly not cheap, but if you don't mind dealing with cable management, the keyboard brings you all of the great features and excellent build quality. While I enjoy the sound of the Razer Green switches over the course of a day, the excessive noise can get to be a bit much. With Connect your keyboard can react to in-game events for some games.
Pros
  • Excellent build quality
  • Excellent RGB lighting
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Lack of customization options

Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The BlackWidow V3 relies on Razer Synapse 3 and the Chroma Studio add-on for its customization. We missed having an identifier on the "W" key, like what you'' find on the Roccat Vulcan TKL Pro. The Black Widow V3 Quartz Edition looks more unique, but you probably shouldn't commit to it.
Pros
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Solid build quality
  • Comfortable, ergonomic design
Cons
  • No number pad
  • Expensive compared to TKL keyboards
