Product Overview

Dyson V11 is the latest iteration of the company's iconic cordless, bagless stick vacuum cleaner. It features 14 concentric cyclones that generate forces of 79000g to throw dust into the collector. A new, in-line air-flow configuration optimizes the path of air, helping to create higher suction at the head.
The Dyson V11 is powered by a Dyson Hyperdymium motor that spins at up to 125,000 rpm. It is acoustically engineered to absorb vibrations and dampen noise, so the higher motor speed does not reduce the usage experience. The Dyson V11 also features a fully-sealed, six-layer filtration system.
The various versions of the V11 share the same unit but come with an increasing set of brush heads.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
If you want a cordless vacuum that runs like a corded upright, the Dyson V11 Outsize is a great choice. It has a full-size bin, large brush, and plenty of power to take on most cleaning tasks. The suction is powerful and really hard to beat and the battery life is pretty good.
Pros
  • Powerful suction
  • Good battery life
  • Easy to empty bin
Cons
  • Doesn’t have self-cleaning filters

moderncastle[2]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from moderncastle have found:
The V11 Outsize has a few features that are physically larger. The bigger features mainly include the wider cleaning head and larger dust bin capacity. The main issue we documented was excessive suction on high pile carpet. On hardwoods, the performance was exceptional. It captured all debris types and had an average performance of 99%.
Pros
  • Great maneuverability
  • Large dust bin
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Small dust bin

rtings[3]

Reviewer score 47% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Dyson V11 Animal is great for bare floors. It does an excellent and consistent job of picking up pet hair as well as small and large debris, and performance remains consistent as its dirt compartment fills up. Although its build quality is just okay, as its plastic components seem a bit fragile, it's fairly easy to maintain.
Pros
  • Excellent and consistent performance
  • Great performance on all surface types
  • Outstanding pet hair pick-up
  • Very portable
  • Well-suited for stairs
Cons
  • Basticky body seems a bit fragile
  • Poor build quality

Reviewer score 94% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
The Dyson v11 Absolute is an excellent all-rounder for both carpets and hard floors. It excels in all disciplines, has excellent battery life, is a doddle to use and it's not too heavy in the hand. Yes, the price is high on the high side, but the cordless stick vac packs a major punch.
Pros
  • Superb suction power
  • Excellent dust and hair removal
  • Great for carpets and hard floors
Cons
  • No aftermarket spares

techadvisor[5]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techadvisor have found:
The V11 feels like an iterative update in terms of pure power, but a more substantial one when it comes to user experience. The screen offers a live reminder of the battery impact of Boost, helping you plan your cleaning better. On max power the V10 was fast enough to match most corded vacuums, and so is the V11. In our testing it's comfortably handled everything from dust to clumps of hair, on both hardwood and carpet, with relative ease.
Pros
  • More powerful than the V10
  • Powerful motorised head
Cons
  • Battery life could be better
  • No trigger lock

techradar[6]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Dyson V11 looks very similar to its predecessor the V10, with a sleek futuristic design that isn't an eyesore if you forget to stow it away in the cupboard. The biggest change to the design of the new V-series vacuum is the inclusion of an LCD display that shows the current mode of the vacuum, the estimated battery life and any other warnings that might be relevant. The V11 has the same 0.2 gallon (0.75 litre) bin capacity as its predecessor, which was 40% bigger than the V8.
Pros
  • Improved suction power
  • Improved cyclone performance
  • Improved battery life
Cons
  • No LCD display
  • No soft roller head

trustedreviews[7]

Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
Dyson V11 Animal has the older motorised head. To clean the brush, you simply insert a coin into the slot and turn, then pull out the unit for cleaning. For hard floors, there’s the Soft Roller head, which picks up small particles easily. The battery is designed to last for an hour in Eco mode, operating with or without a motorised brush. With around an hour of run-time, you should have enough power to whizz round an entire house.
Pros
  • Powerful motorised heads
  • Easy to use
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • Battery life could be better

wired[8]

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from wired have found:
This year, Dyson's engineers tweaked the motor's design. The motor still runs at a mind-blowing 125,000 rpm. The V11's cleaner head also has a dynamic load sensor. It's impossible to talk about the V11 without mentioning its extravagant price.
Pros
  • Great suction power
  • Large, 0.2-gallon dust bin
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Doesn't have a run time counter
