Product Overview
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds deliver technologies and experiences of the company's over-ear noise cancelling headphones to an in-ear design. They come with 11 levels of noise control so you can choose how much of the world you let in or keep out.
The new StayHear Max tips create a soft-yet-tight seal. The earbuds use use multiple microphones to sense, measure, and send any remaining noise to a proprietary electronic chip loaded with an exclusive new algorithm. digitaltrends[1]
Reviewer score 91% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Bose QC Earbuds block far more high-frequency noise, meaning street sounds like cars passing by on pavement, the hum of an air conditioner, and, yes, even screeching children, are more effectively blocked out. With music playing, you hear nothing but the music. With such stellar sound quality, does call quality matter that much? These days, I would argue yes.
Pros
- Excellent noise-canceling
- Excellent call quality
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Bulky design
- Noise canceling is useless
laptopmag[2]
Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)The QuietComfort Earbuds use Bose's proprietary drivers and the company's Active EQ. The result is warm, relatively balanced audio with rich bass and a generous soundscape. While the AirPods Pro came close to matching their rivals, some of those finer details I heard on the Bose were lacking.
Pros
- Great sound quality
- Excellent noise cancelling
- Great battery life
Cons
- Noise cancelling is a little fiddly
pcmag[3]
Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds deliver a predictably bass-rich, sculpted sound signature. At top volumes, there's no distortion, and at lower, more moderate volumes, the bass still sounds full. On tracks with intense sub-bass content, the headphones deliver powerful low-frequency response.
Pros
- Sculpted, sculpted sound signature
- Strong active noise cancellation
- Good battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
rtings[4]
Reviewer score 42% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are good for neutral sound. They have a well-balanced and neutral sound profile with a touch of extra bass. However, a slight overemphasis in the treble range can make vocals and lead instruments sound a little harsh. The integrated mic's recording quality results in your voice sounding thin and a bit distorted.
Pros
- Well-balanced and neutral sound profile
- Comfortable, breathable, and stable fit
- Great ANC feature
Cons
- Bulky design
- No EQ
techradar[5]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Bose QC ‘Buds offer up to six hours of listening time. They offer arguably the best call quality of the true wireless headphones we've tested. Even at very high volume, every single layer within a track is clear. Bose's Active EQ tech boosts bass or treble automatically depending on volume levels.
Pros
- Excellent call quality
- Excellent noise cancellation
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- No EQ
- No equalizer
theverge[6]
Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)Bose has successfully tackled the main flaws of its original true wireless earbuds. The QuietComfort Earbuds are very bass-forward and pack a wallop for hip-hop and EDM tracks. They have a wider, richer soundstage than the competition (perhaps with the exception of Sennheiser)
Pros
- Powerful, bass-forward sound
- Excellent noise cancellation
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- No multipoint
- No multi-device pairing
tomsguide[7]
Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)The QuietComfort Earbuds are the top wireless earbuds for phone call and video chats. Bose set its sights on creating the best noise-cancelling experience in the true wireless space. They are one of the few models with Bluetooth 5.1, and it shows. The charging case holds up to 18 hours fully charged.
Pros
- Powerful noise cancellation
- Excellent battery life
- Comfortable fit
Cons
- Short charging case
- No active noise cancellation
trustedreviews[8]
Reviewer score 91% (normalized by Neofiliac)The QuietComfort Earbuds are phenomenally effective at suppressing sounds, and do so without colouring the music performance. They sound fantastic, summoning plenty of power and energy, but can also be subtle, going for a neutral, clean and detailed approach. Treble notes have a sparkle, clarity and sharpness to their presentation, at times, it's almost piercing in its quality.
Pros
- Superb noise-cancelling
- Impressive clarity and detail
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- App loses connection as soon as you’re connected
whathifi[9]

Excellent noise-cancelling also allows the Bose's superb sound quality to shine through unmolested. Beats, Sennheiser and Sony already offering premium wireless earbuds.
Pros
- Excellent noise-cancelling
- Impressive battery life
- Comfortable fit
Cons
- Noise cancellation could be better
